Klaviyo integration

LoyaltyLion syncs rich loyalty data to Klaviyo, so you can personalise emails, build smarter segments, and trigger flows based on customer behaviour. This includes:

Points balance (total, approved, pending, spent, lifetime)
Number of rewards claimed
Date enrolled in the program
Customer’s unique referral link
Loyalty tier and tier status
Birthday
Insights segment

You can also sync advanced VIP tier data, including:
Tier expiration date
Current tier progress
Progress at expiration
Progress needed for renewal or upgrade
Next tier (upgrade) name
Forecasted future tier

Syncing advanced VIP tier data is available on all plans.

Loyalty flows and loyalty data work together, but serve different purposes:

Loyalty flows are automated emails triggered by customer actions, like earning points or unlocking a reward.

Loyalty data is information stored on the customer profile, such as points balance, tier status, and progress toward rewards.

Flows decide when emails are sent, while data determines what each email says.

Klaviyo Events are triggers that LoyaltyLion sends to Klaviyo, based on specific customer activities. You can then use these Events to trigger Advanced Loyalty Flows in Klaviyo to send out automated emails or SMS messages.

Let’s break them down:

Klaviyo Events:
There are multiple events available in LoyaltyLion which are triggered when a customer interacts with the loyalty program, such as earning enough points for a reward, claiming a reward, referring a friend or moving up a tier.

These events are sent in real time by LoyaltyLion to Klaviyo. When the event arrives in the Klaviyo platform, it can trigger a pre-built flow which sends one or a series of automated emails and/or SMS messages.

Advanced Loyalty Flows:
These Flows are set up in Klaviyo using the above Event triggers.

You can use these triggers to create highly personalized multi-step flows, based on loyalty data, such as reward availability reminders, when a customer is approaching their next VIP tier and expiration reminders.

You can use additional triggers and conditional logic to segment customers and automate complex journeys that run autonomously as soon as you set them live, making them more powerful than basic segment-triggered emails.

Klaviyo Events are available on the LoyaltyLion Plus plan or as an add-on to the Advanced plan.

Advanced Loyalty Flows are set up in Klaviyo and require access to Klaviyo Events in LoyaltyLion.
