Technology Partnerships Manager (US Based)


LoyaltyLion is a data-driven loyalty and engagement platform trusted by thousands of ecommerce brands worldwide. Merchants use LoyaltyLion when they want a loyalty program that is proven to increase customer engagement, retention and spend. Stores using LoyaltyLion typically generate at least $15 for every $1 they spend on the platform.

Today LoyaltyLion works with over 10,000 small and medium sized retailers. Our mission is to help them succeed in the age of Amazon, where they may not be able to compete on price and logistics but can offer a better customer experience. An experience where customers feel valued, rather than just another number.

It’s been an incredible two years for LoyaltyLion. We closed $12.5m early last year and another $12m this year, and we’ve grown from 40 employees to over 100. We’ve built out our Leadership team, recruiting a CTO, CFO and Director of Product amongst other senior hires and we continue to scale quickly, achieving spots in both the Deloitte Fast 50 and the FT1000. This is just the beginning of our inflection point.

Role information

In the Partnerships team, you are the CEO of your own world; you won’t be able to solve every problem alone, but you will act as an owner of your work, and know when to ask for help. We learn far more from our mistakes than from winning; the Partnerships’ culture is built on sharing learnings, taking opportunities to self-educate, and having a bias towards action. Get on, get stuff done, and have your team behind you all the way.

Specifically, you’ll be leading efforts to build relationships with key technology partners in our ecosystem (some of the fastest growing companies in the world!) with the view of strengthening lead sharing and deepening the technological integrations between our businesses. By leveraging your relationship with multiple technology partners you’ll have significant reach across the ecommerce landscape and the opportunity to have an outsized impact on the success of LoyaltyLion.

Some of the things you'll be doing:

Building new and strengthening existing relationships with great ecommerce technology partners and leveraging those relationships to secure integrations and win referrals for our sales team. Here’s some of what your day to day might look like:
• Identifying and connecting with relevant technology partners to create introductions for our Sales team
• Building and maintaining relationships with these partners to drive merchant referrals for our sales team
• Shape the direction of LoyaltyLion as a product by influencing technology partners and internally to build/deepen integrations
• Supporting partners at a 1-to-1 and 1-to-many level to improve their understanding of loyalty in the ecommerce space, as well as LoyaltyLion’s specific strengths
• Collaborate closely with LoyaltyLion Marketing, Sales and Product to maximise return on investment with our technology partners for ecommerce merchants

What we’re looking for:

This is a role that will drive us towards our company goals in a significant way, and success will be tangible. Because of that we’re looking for someone who’s all about impact!
Here’s some of what we’d like to see:
• You have a good level of experience in business development or sales
• You are passionate about technology and known for constantly learning about new possibilities made possible by technology
• You have likely been a Partner Manager or worked in our Shopify Marketing Technology ecosystem previously (e.g. Partnerships, Sales, Merchant Success)
• You recognise that by helping our Partners to be successful you will be successfulYou’re comfortable with juggling multiple relationships – a mixture of high and low touch
• You know that the day-to-day will take up most of your time – BUT you’re still interested in helping to build out systems, processes and team to support future/faster growth
• You can differentiate between actions that move us forward, and actions that are nice to do, but ultimately keep us stationary. Both are important
• You’re highly self-driven and excited to join a fast-paced atmosphere, primarily working remotely in the US
• You’ve worked remotely for 3+ years and will not be phased to only be with the London team four times per year
• You have 5+ years of work experience and are self-sufficient to source answers to most questions
• You are likely an extrovert who builds strong interpersonal relationships quickly
• You are excited to travel for partner events to maximise your impact
• You are based on the North America East Coast / Eastern time (London -5 hours)
